But you don’t have to do that. You just need to take care of your smile and be aware of the things that can ruin it. When it comes to keeping your smile its healthiest, be mindful of these things that can make your smile not so happy.

  1. Not practicing proper oral hygiene.

If you’re not brushing twice per day, flossing daily, and visiting your dentist regularly, you are putting your mouth at risk.

  1. Drinking soda, sports drinks, wine, and/or coffee.

With their sugar and high acidic nature, these drinks can erode your teeth’s enamel, leaving you prone to cavities and other dental problems.

3. Diabetes.

If you have diabetes, you are at higher risk for gum disease because diabetes reduces your body’s ability to fight infections.
